"I have not lost my passion for life's journey!" she exclaimed fearlessly.
"But now, without a sense of urgency," she went on,
"I get a new perspective with every step I take".
She may have grinned with her tongue in her cheek when she told me;
" Sometimes the texture and beauty along the way will
take my breath away and I'll miss my footing on the stepping stones."

.... all this time I thought it was arthritis and sherry that took her balance.

too clever!!
I wish my excuse was the sherry! Your words have reminded me of an elderly neighbour I once had. I use to sneak cigarettes and scotch to. (he he) She lived alone and became housebound. Her family wouldn't let her indulge. I'd go there after work late on a friday night and sit and talk and smoke!! bad I know but I heard after she died that she really enjoyed those moments ... and the contraband!
Those stepping stones are so inviting! Beautiful photo and wonderful musings.
I love this! So happy I found your blog! You are so creastive!
